FUNNY STORY, ACTUALLY…
My debut novel Funny Story, Actually… is a secret-identity, second-chance rom-com about a woman who reunites with her high school crush twenty years later in a San Francisco stand-up class, and when he doesn’t recognize her, decides to hide who she is to win his heart. Fans of Ali Hazelwood’s The Love Hypothesis and Katherine Center’s The Bodyguard will enjoy the story’s smart, sexy banter, its unfiltered humor, and its exploration of reinvention and self-love.
I couldn’t resist making a Spotify playlist of all the songs my lovebirds listened to at Annandale High, many of which will be performed by their 20th reunion band: “Panic! In The Metro.” Check it out!
I also made a terrible AI book cover midway through writing the book. I can’t decide if it’s appalling or adorable. Maybe both?
